Let it Rain

I'm gearing up for the Raindance Festival where the fantastic news is that This Side of the Afterlife by the Horton Brothers has been accepted for showing on October the 9th. I appeared in the film as a kleptomaniac ghost and the narration was by the wonderful Rik Mayall.
Also the Hot Japanese Girl EP has now been mixed and mastered and we are currently discussing art work and format.
I've always wanted to be on vinyl but convincing the rest of the band may prove tricky. We've also just finished the "We Love the City Tour" playing in two festivals including Headstock where we played the BBC stage.
The Edinburgh Fringe show proved a great success for Michelangelo's Heroes. We even received a rave review from Fatpie's Devvo. Only wish I could have gone to hear the laughter myself instead of just existing on video.
The irrepressible Baby Godzilla asked me to sing for their latest release, a mini album due out some time in October. I appear on a track called "Thotty" which to them means thirty. That was the amount of time they gave their inner circle to 'man up' after doing something soft, which is why the song starts with a gentle acoustic guitar intro, and then after a countdown goes nuts! It was quite an honour and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Meet Ali Pow3rs
I'm a singer songwriter from the UK, originally from the south of England. With a long background in performance, I'm currently playing with HOT JAPANESE GIRL , an alt garage rock band who will be releasing their first album through I’m Not From London Records. I've also performed as half of the duo Dulcinea with Alex Bowen.
I spent time living abroad, but settling in the East Midlands has afforded me the opportunity to work within the UK film industry. I provided artwork for Alexis Dos Santos’ Unmade Beds , and recently completed my first full score for Daz Spencer Lovesey's The Passing Place. I've also written music for shorts and features, as well as licensing existing tracks. My back catalogue is vast, and I'm a keen artist and writer as well, though as a child I always wanted to be an actor, an ambition that continues to this day.
